The XL Frog system includes the mineral reservoir. It does not contain the chlorine pack. We recommend the 7# chlorine pack #540C. Your best deal is to buy these in cases of 3 units. Never touch chlorine again! The XL lets you control the feed rate and never overfeeds chlorine. The patented chlorine pack #540C only lets water into a small segment of the chlorine pack. Most chlorinators have water swashing around the entire housing allowing all the chlorine tablets to mix with the water simultaneously. This guarantees that that you will usually overfeed when it is full or close to full and underfeed when the chlorine in the feeder gets low. The big advantage of the XL Pro over the standard Frog Cyclers is that you can get the larger 7# chlorine pack to fit inside compared to the 2.4375# chlorine pac. This unit is bi-directional. You can place the mineral reservoir first or the chlorine feeder first. Whatever is easier and best for your situation.
