It
all started in the fall several years ago. A high-wind warning
had been issued. To save possible damage to our pool cover
we wrapped it tightly with a standard pallet wrap. The next
day our cover was intact after a windy night when many covers
were lost to high winds. Thus, the first cover seal was born.
We left the pallet wrap on over the winter and it proved
to be ineffective. It did not hold up over severe winter conditions.
After trying other existing similar films, we encountered
the same problem. They simply would not hold up throughout
the winter.
We went back to the drawing board or rather... the laboratory
at a large resin film manufacturer. Their chemists came up
with the ultimate answer. Winter Cover Seal is a special blend
of resins formed to provide a linear low density Polyethylene/Polypropylene
blend film. The precise composition of resins produces molecular
Patterns in a straight line. This gives the material the ability
to stretch tightly and hold tightly over a long period of
time, even in extreme cold.
The use of UV Protection and other Polypropylene resins give
Winter Cover Seal the following properties:
- The ability to stretch and hold the stretch.
- The ability to adhere tightly to the layer under it and
stay adhered. It is a cohesive material meaning it will
not adhere to any other substance.
- The ability to keep a very tight seal over extended period
of time during the extreme conditions of winter.
Winter Cover Seal is wrapped in multiple overlapping layers
covering the edge of your cover and the pool. The whole roll
should be used. This will wrap a 24ft. round pool approximately
6 times.
