SURFACE PAINTING
RAMUC Pool Paint will protect and beautify
your pool for years of enjoyment.

|
|
Upon completion of step 3, follow drying instructions
on label prior to refilling.
|
|
Step 1 Surface Cleaning
If your pool is chipping or peeling, scrub with a wire brush.
If your pool is chalking or fading, use a stiff nylon brush
to remove all loose chalk. All surfaces need to be cleaned
with a tri-sodium phosphate type solution to remove dirt,
grease and oil.
Step 2 Surface Preparation
All surfaces then need to be acid etched with 15% to 20%
solution of muriatic acid or sulfamic acid. On a previously
painted surface, this process will remove any mineral deposits.
On new or bare concrete surfaces, this process should achieve
a medium sandpaper type texture.
Neutralize your surface with TSP and rinse. No residual acid
should be left on your pool. Note: follow manufacturer's safety
precautions prior to using any acid products. Never pour water
into acid. Always pour acid into water.
Step 3 Surface Painting
Follow the specific directions on the back label for the
type of RAMUC Paint you are purchasing. This information is
also available on our RAMUC Application Sheets.

their corresponding simple formulas to figure the square footage
of your pool. Keep in mind that the amount of paint you will
need depends on whether your pool surface is rough or smooth.
The square foot coverage of each type of paint will determine
how much paint you will need.
